The Corrupted Soul is the true final boss in the game. He is challenged in the shrine room underneath the castle right after the player beats the Shogun. The soul can only be fought on Day 7.
The level in which you fight him in is 9 cells long. The Corrupted Soul is on the 5th (middle) cell in the air, and the hero is below the soul on the same cell.
